The Surf Legends present: Hawaiian Lounge

“Windsurfing has ever been my entire life“. That is the short retrospective of surf legend Robby Naish, who the two successful musicians and producers Ivo Moring and Alexander Wilken have met on Hawaiian island Maui. Together with the red light of the setting sun and the smooth sound of the blue waves braking at the shore came the idea for this exceptional album – “Hawaiian Lounge”.

”Hawaiian Lounge” combines cool Lounge and Downbeat with typical Hawaiian sounds. The sounds of nature, which the musicians have spontaneously recorded with their portable studio, reflect the surfer’s unbelievable freedom and sense of life as well as the beauty of the location. Besides Robby Naish, a whole bunch of other pro surfers are featured: world cup champions Kevin & Matt Pritchard, Junko Nagoshi, Michi Schweiger and Francisco Goya took part in the recording sessions. But that’s quite not enough! Also surf legends Klaus Simmer, Robert Teriitehau, Mickey Eskimo, Nils Rosenblad and last but not least beautiful all-round talent, successful model and singer, Anick Violette, added all their spirit and talent to the recordings. All these people helped to give creative ideas and a “fresh breeze” for the success of the production.

Ivo and Alexander are passionated surfers as well, and so they realized their dream of combining their passion of surfing and music to one element. Alexander, also known as “Prince Alec”, has been a professional regatta sailor for six years but also has great international success with his own creation, his style called “Jazzloungemusic”. Musician and producer Ivo Moring composed for nameable chart-hitting artists like Christina Stürmer, Orange Blue and Sarah Connor. So he is a well reputed producer in worldwide music business. Six weeks of surfing and producing plus the inspiration of the wonderful environment – the result is a masterpiece of an album: music full of passion – “Hawaiian Lounge”.
